About the Anthology
This anthology gathers contributions from eight authors who presented their work at KulturKreis Pankow: journalist Patrik Baab, civil rights activist Ralph Boes, writer Daniela Dahn, media scholar Tilo Gräser, communication scientist Michael Meyen, political scientist Hauke Ritz, musician Markus Stockhausen, and philosopher Gwendolin Kirchhoff.
What Does It Mean to Be Human?
The common thread of this anthology is the question of what remains of the human when institutions, technologies, and political systems reduce us to function. What does it mean to be human, from a philosophical perspective? Each contribution approaches this question from a different angle — journalistic, musical, philosophical, political. The diversity of voices reflects the conviction that the human cannot be defended from within a single discipline.
Gwendolin's contribution unfolds the philosophical dimension: What does it mean to be human when the very conditions of being human are in question? Her answer is not a theory but an outlook — an invitation to recognize the question of the human not as intellectual history, but as the most urgent question of our time.
160 pages, published March 2025 by KulturKreis Pankow. Available as paperback.
